Russian energy enterprises increased electricity production by 1%, despite Western sanctions pressure, told Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov in an interview with Rossiya 24.
“Output growth is approximately 1%, so we are developing. This means that we have adapted to all sanctions restrictions,” said the head of the Ministry of Energy (quoted from RIA Novosti).
Shulginov added that the country is also experiencing an increase in electricity consumption, without providing specific figures on the dynamics.
Earlier on November 4, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the Russian fuel and energy complex (FEC) has been developing under sanctions since 2014 and has adapted to them. This is how he responded to the words of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who promised to introduce new restrictions against Russia.
