Japanese edition Shukan Gendai reported that the latest Russian Avangard hypersonic missiles have become a serious headache for the United States of America.
According to the publication, the Avangard combat system is extremely difficult to destroy, even American air defense systems will not help.
“In the event that Avangard is still able to be detected, interception will be impossible. The missiles move in a zigzag pattern, which makes it very difficult to destroy them,” said military expert Masaki Takabe.
Note that the Avangard can hit targets at a distance of six thousand kilometers and develops a speed of Mach 28 (about 7.5 kilometers per second).
