Shoigu said that the target of Ukrainian drones were civilian objects

The target of the attack of Ukrainian drones were civilian objects in Moscow. This was stated at a conference call by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

“This morning, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist act in the Moscow region. I will note, on civilian objects. It involved eight aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. They are all amazed,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).

The Russian military suppressed three drones by means of electronic warfare in Moscow, the remaining five were shot down by the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun system in the Moscow region. The minister stressed that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are reacting to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “as harshly as possible.”

On the morning of May 30, drones attacked several buildings in Moscow, the buildings received minor damage. According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, no one was seriously injured as a result of the incident, two people sought medical help, which they received on the spot, and no one needed hospitalization. Later, Governor Andrei Vorobyov announced the operation of air defense systems in the Moscow Region.

Later, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein informedthat in the Moscow region drones fell in the village of Ilyinskoye and the village of Timoshkino in the Krasnogorsk district, in the villages of Razdory and Romashkovo in the Odintsovo district and in the village of Greenfield in the Istra district.

On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee of Russia began investigation. The department noted that several drones were shot down on approach to Moscow.

Ministry of Defense called drone strikes on Moscow by terrorist attack. The Kremlin said the incident was Kyiv’s response to Russian military strikes on one of the decision-making centers on May 28. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov declaredthat the actions of Kyiv “confirm the need to continue this NWO and achieve the goals.”
