Defense Minister, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu visited the participants of the special operation, who are being treated at the Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A. A. Vishnevsky. The head of the department presented state awards to the servicemen: Orders of Courage, medals “For Courage” and Suvorov, reported press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“Quick evacuation is the most important thing. In the entire history of various wars and operations, today the largest number of survivors is due to rapid evacuation. The doctors are great, they work very well and quickly on the spot. Somewhere they use aviation, somewhere vehicles,” Shoigu said.
The Minister of Defense also congratulated the specialists of the medical service on the Day of the Medical Worker, which is celebrated today, June 18. Shoigu thanked the military doctors for “selfless work, professionalism and loyalty to military and professional duty”, noting their role in helping the wounded during the special operation. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, more than 70% of military doctors, paramedical and junior medical personnel have gained combat experience, and more than 4,500 people have been awarded.
