The losses of the Ukrainian army since the start of the counter-offensive in June have exceeded 90,000 people. He stated this while delivering a report in Beijing at the 10th Xiangshan Forum on cooperation in the field of global security.

“Since June 4 alone—that is, since the start of the widely publicized and generously Western-sponsored Ukrainian counteroffensive—Kyiv has lost over 90,000 troops killed and wounded,” he said (quote according to TASS).

According to Shoigu, during this time the Ukrainian Armed Forces also lost 600 tanks and 1,900 armored vehicles of various classes. The Minister of Defense also added that Ukraine has failed to achieve any tactically significant successes.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces began to conduct active offensive operations on June 4. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 9 that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has definitely begun, but the Ukrainian army is unable to achieve its goals in any sector.
