Shoigu demanded to train mobilized in the rear before being sent to the front

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the training of the mobilized should take place in rear areas with personnel with combat experience. He said this during the report of the commander of the Russian group in Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin.

“Before being sent to combat areas, it is necessary to place them in the rear areas, where they can conduct joint exercises with personnel with combat experience. Only military personnel with skills in their military specialties should be sent to the front line,” said Mr. Shoigu.

The Minister of Defense also said that officers capable of “rallying military teams and organizing the execution of tasks in any conditions of the situation” should be appointed to units staffed by mobilized officers.

During the presentation, it was also announced about the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson and from the right bank of the Dnieper. According to Mr. Surovikin, this “difficult decision” will save the lives of military personnel, and will also free up “part of the forces and means” for an offensive in other directions.

On November 8, the commander of the Russian grouping in Ukraine reported Mr. Shoigu on providing mobilized with all kinds of allowances. Formerly Vladimir Putin informedthat there are about 80,000 mobilized people in the special operation zone, and 50,000 of them are already participating in hostilities.

Partial mobilization was announced by presidential decree on 21 September. It was planned to call up 300 thousand people, but, according to Mr. Putin, the plan succeeded overfulfill at the expense of volunteers, 318 thousand citizens were mobilized.
