Shoigu checked the training of contract soldiers at the training grounds of the Southern Military District

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the training of military contractors of newly formed units and formations at the training grounds of the Southern Military District, reported in the ministry.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that practical training is being conducted with military personnel in special tactical, medical, fire training, etc. The intensive training course takes 38 days.

“The head of the Russian military department checked the preparation and conduct of driving lessons and the performance of combat firing by tank crews of the T-90 Proryv. Crew training is also carried out on modern interactive training complexes, which allow practicing all elements of combat training,” the ministry said in a statement.

Representatives of the command reported to Shoigu about how the organization of training is being built: classes are conducted under the guidance of officers with combat experience gained as part of a special operation. It is passed by motorized rifle, tank and artillery units. At the time of Shoigu’s visit, combat coordination was taking place at the training grounds.

Earlier, the units have already undergone individual training, after coordination at the training grounds, the military personnel will be sent to the places of deployment, where combat coordination will be carried out as part of military units.

“The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation personally checked the training of contract soldiers in combat operations in various conditions, including in urban combat,” the Defense Ministry added.

The ministry also reported that military personnel there undergo both individual training and combat coordination as part of squads and platoons. After that, they are sent to the points of permanent deployment, where they undergo training as part of their unit and military unit.
