Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of the joint board of the Russian and Belarusian defense ministries said that the issue of transferring F-16 tactical fighters to Ukraine has moved to a practical level and their delivery is expected in 2024.

“In response to these threats, we are taking appropriate measures and strengthening our western borders,” Shoigu said.

The head of the Russian defense department also noted that NATO countries supply Ukraine with weapons, transmit intelligence information, train the Armed Forces of Ukraine and send mercenaries and consultants. The minister emphasized that the collective West has unleashed a hybrid war against Russia in various fields.

He also named the total amount of funds spent by Western countries to support Ukraine – almost $200 billion.
