Near the borders of the Union State of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, the West has deployed a group of troops, which has 360,000 servicemen. This was announced by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu during a meeting of the collegium of the defense department.
“Including the armed forces of the Eastern European countries, about 360,000 servicemen are stationed in the immediate vicinity of the borders of the Union State,” the minister said.
He also stressed that in addition to military personnel, the West has deployed military equipment and aviation near the borders: eight thousand armored vehicles, six thousand artillery systems and mortars, as well as 650 aircraft and helicopters.
In addition, Shoigu added that the number of formations of non-regional NATO states since February 2022 has increased by 2.5 times and exceeded 30 thousand people.
