At a conference call on Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that since October 1, the allowances of military personnel, as well as the salaries of civilian personnel of the RF Armed Forces, have been increased by 4%. In addition, he noted that during the year the amount of military pensions increased by 19.5%.
According to the minister, 98% of the contracts were concluded under the state defense order, and the remaining contracts can be concluded before December 1, when the work on contracting is completed. Summing up the preliminary results of the expenditures of the RF Ministry of Defense, Shoigu stressed that additional budget allocations were allocated to increase the number of military personnel and conduct partial mobilization.
He added that a balanced budget of the department contributes to the solution of the tasks set for the RF Armed Forces. Shoigu also clarified that funding for the special operation was secured, social obligations to personnel and military pensioners were fulfilled, and special projects were implemented to restore the infrastructure of the DPR and LPR.
