Shoigu announced a multiple increase in the production of weapons

The release of weapons for the joint Russian group of troops has increased many times over, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at the headquarters of the joint group of Russian troops. About it on Saturday informed defense press office.

The Minister of Defense heard reports at the headquarters on the current situation and held a meeting on the provision of ammunition. During a meeting with the command of the grouping and deputy ministers, Shoigu said that the provision of groupings of troops with weapons of destruction is now under constant control in the government and the Ministry of Defense. According to him, the volumes of deliveries of the most demanded ammunition have been determined, and measures are being taken to increase them.

“Due to the expansion of production capacities and the increase in labor productivity, the number of products they produce to support the troops has increased manifold. We are talking about both conventional and high-precision types of weapons,” the minister said, adding that these measures make it possible to carry out tasks in accordance with the plan for conducting a special operation.

The meeting participants also discussed issues of further increasing the supply of ammunition to the troops, as well as improving the efficiency of the logistics system.

Formerly Shoigu checked progress in fulfilling the state defense order at defense industry enterprises in the Chelyabinsk and Kirov regions. In particular, the minister checked the production of artillery, tank, mortar shells of various calibers and unguided aircraft missiles, as well as quality control sections. The minister also listened to the reports of the heads of enterprises on the current results of the implementation of the state defense order.

On March 14, Shoigu checked the fulfillment of the state defense order at the Tactical Missile Weapons Defense Industrial Complex in the Moscow Region. The minister instructed to double the production of precision-guided weapons. At the end of January, he visited Russia’s first specialized factory for the production of large-sized drones.
