Canada is going to transfer confiscated Russian assets under its jurisdiction to Ukraine. This was announced by Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, in social networks. In particular, Kyiv will receive the An-124 aircraft and other assets of the Volga-Dnepr company.
“A new package of sanctions against Russia from Canada. We are preparing to confiscate the AN-124 aircraft and other assets and transfer them to Ukraine,” Shmygal wrote.
On April 11, Canada expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation, imposing restrictions on 34 organizations, as well as against 14 people, whom Ottawa classifies as the “financial elite” of the Russian Federation.
