Sergei Sobyanin approved the structure and composition of the capital’s government

Sergei Sobyanin, re-elected mayor of Moscow on the Unified Voting Day (September 8–10), determined the composition of the city government, the previous composition of which, in accordance with the law, resigned after the mayor took office.
The composition of the Presidium of the Moscow Government has not changed. Pyotr Biryukov remained vice-mayor for housing, communal services and improvement, Andrey Bochkarev – vice-mayor for urban planning policy and construction, Alexander Gorbenko – for regional security and information policy. Vladimir Efimov retained the position of vice-mayor for economic policy and property-land relations, Maxim Liksutov still heads the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the City of Moscow with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister. Anastasia Rakova was reappointed vice-mayor for social development, Natalya Sergunina – head of the mayor’s office and city government with the rank of vice-mayor, Elena Zyabbarova – head of the Department of Finance with the rank of minister.
Maria Bagreeva was appointed head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development, Maxim Gaman – head of the Department of City Property, Evgeny Danchikov – head of the Main Control Directorate. Eduard Lysenko heads the Department of Information Technologies, Alexander Molotkov – the Department of Education and Science. Alexey Nemeryuk, in the rank of first deputy to Natalya Sergunina, heads the Department of Trade and Services, Vladislav Ovchinsky heads the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. Evgeny Struzhak headed the Department of Labor and Social Protection, Alexey Khripun – the Department of Health, Sergey Cheremin – the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations.
Alexander Kibovsky as head of the Department of Culture replaced Alexey Fursin, who previously headed the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.
Prefects of administrative districts have also been appointed. Alexey Alexandrov (Western Administrative District), Nikolay Aleshin (East), Oleg Volkov (South-West), Vladimir Goverdovsky (Central), Dmitry Nabokin (Troitsky and Novomoskovsky), Alexey Pashkov (North-West), Anatoly Smirnov ( Zelenograd), Gadzhimurad Izutdinov (Northern District), Andrey Tsybin (South-Eastern) and Alexey Chelyshev (Southern). Sergei Melnikov replaced Alexey Belyaev as prefect of the North-Eastern District.
