Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the material Financial Times about disagreements between Ukraine and its Western allies over a missile that fell in Poland. Mr. Pushkov believes that Western countries convinced Ukraine that they will always be on its side, which provoked accusations of the Ukrainian authorities against Russia.
“Western capitals are annoyed, but they themselves are to blame: it was they who, by their behavior, convinced Ukraine that they would always be on its side. But here Kyiv goes too far: it is about the reaction of the West and its own security. And they don’t want to risk it because of the Ukrainian missile in any way. It is no coincidence that even Warsaw backed down,” Mr. Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Formerly CNN informedthat the United States asked the Ukrainian side to be more careful in its comments on the incident in Poland.
The rocket fell in the border Polish village of Przewodow on 15 November. As a result of the incident, two Polish citizens were killed.
