Senator Pushkov said that Finland lost because of hostility to Russia
Finland lost due to political emotions and total hostility towards Russia. This opinion was expressed in Telegram Aleksey Pushkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy and Interaction with the Media.
According to him, the government of Finland should not have been “reckless adherence to principles” and put pressure on their companies that refused to leave Russia. These actions did not cause significant damage to the Russian economy, which President Sauli Niinistö is now forced to admit.
Pushkov explained that earlier Helsinki had a balanced policy towards Russia. The country only benefited from this. Now it has turned to a policy of complete hostility. As a result, Finland lost.
Now Helsinki will not be able to play the role of the negotiating capital of Europe. The political importance of the country in the world has declined.
“Finland has gained nothing, but has lost a lot,” the senator concluded.
