They have interfered, are interfering and will continue to interfere – but without courage. The collective West has outlined approximately this line of behavior for the upcoming presidential elections in Russia. “They are pushing, puffing up, but their owners are already walking around despondent,” said the head of the Federation Council commission on protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov. NATO think tanks can no longer even invent a new story with the notorious Novichok.

There are two months left before the presidential elections in Russia, recalled Senator Andrei Klimov. And the West has already begun to actively interfere in them.

Attempts are being made to discredit the electoral system of the Russian Federation as such, the parliamentarian said.

– They act in this logic: it is wrong because it is Russian.

In addition, attempts to “hack from within” the Russian state system and stability are in full swing, in order to later pass it off as an objective natural process. Finally, the West does not give up the desire to discredit everything done by Vladimir Putin, Klimov notes. And at the same time, attempts are being made to create an anti-Russian foundation for future State Duma elections in 2026 and even the next presidential campaign in 2030.

NATO countries are also actively working with relocants, the senator said.

“According to the SVR, a serious emphasis is placed on student scholarship holders of Western programs, primarily the United States,” explained Andrei Klimov and explained how it works: foreign universities invite young Russians to their place, pay for travel and accommodation, collect personal data and quietly place a bet on pencil. The States already have 80 thousand such potential agents of influence on their lists—mostly they are located inside Russia.

“This is their personnel reserve, as they see it,” he noted.

“There was such a Guaido in Venezuela,” said Klimov. “His only difference from other citizens of this country was that in the West they addressed him as “Mr. President.” 10 years earlier, he had been recruited at a student camp in Serbia and, when necessary, “revived” for subversive work in Venezuela.

According to him, a single structure has now been created in the West to interfere in Russian elections. If earlier they intervened on the principle of who can do what – through the EU, PACE, OSCE, individual countries – now they act centrally. The parliamentarian called what was happening a war of meanings.

– We say “democracy”, they say democracy. It seems similar in form, but different in meaning. Or here – legality and legitimacy. Legitimate – is it legal or not? Through this war of meanings, a certain way of thinking is imposed on us, and then everything else,” Klimov revealed the deep intentions of Western propaganda.

Methods of intervention have become much harsher and more radical than before.

– The drones flew to Moscow when the September elections were announced, and then abruptly stopped flying. Such actions cost money and require enormous preparation. He recalled that there is no military significance of UAV strikes, only psychological – to undermine the mood of voters during the election campaign.

But those who like to interfere in Russian elections have a problem with creativity: they work without courage.

– Previously there was creativity, but now there is no spark. They are pushing something, puffing themselves up. But their owners are already looking sad,” the senator said. “In 2018, before the presidential elections, a series was launched about brave British intelligence officers who fight Russian secret weapons, Novichok.” A few weeks before the elections, the story of the “poisoning” of the Skripals happened, and hysteria arose. That is, they prepared with the power of some kind of art.
