Senator Bondarev: Zelensky’s attempts to drag Ukraine into the EU and NATO are futile

Head of the Defense Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Viktor Bondarev commented on his Telegram channel, the efforts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to ensure that the country is accepted into the European Union and NATO as soon as possible.
“Zelensky’s attempts to bring Ukraine into the EU and NATO … are absolutely futile in the short, medium and long term,” he wrote, noting that Ukrainians either emigrate to Europe, or defect to Russia, or die on the battlefields.
According to the senator, the depopulation of the Ukrainian population is currently taking place.
“The slogan ‘war to the last Ukrainian’ proclaimed by the Kyiv regime is becoming prophetic and dangerous… Ordinary Ukrainians are paying for the business interests of the top Ukrainian authorities,” Bondarev added.
