In Russia they want to create a platform for the confiscation of cryptocurrencies. Such an instruction was given to the Ministry of Finance, Izvestia writes. It is expected that the digital platform will store crypto-assets seized as part of criminal proceedings. According to Russian laws, they are recognized as property that can be confiscated. But mostly so-called cold wallets are confiscated – these are flash drives on which assets are stored in the form of program code. What might the confiscation mechanism look like in the future?
