Megafon users reported a massive outage of their home Internet

The service “Sboy.rf” recorded failures in the work of the home Internet operator “Megafon”. At the time of writing, failures were recorded for 2,399 users on the service’s website. Users from Moscow (21%) and St. Petersburg (17%) complained most about the Internet. The press service of Megafon told Kommersant that the operator is already working to resolve technical problems. At 19:15 Moscow time, TASS, citing the operator, reported that Megafon was “recording a partial recovery.”
Users reported problems with their home Internet in comments to posts press service Megafon on VKontakte. According to some users, the Internet stopped working around 13:00 Moscow time. According to Sboy.rf, problems with Internet connections have been recorded in Samara, Sverdlovsk, Oryol, Tver, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk regions, as well as in Chuvashia, Chechnya and Yakutia.
In the comments, people point out the lack of information about the technical problem. According to them, it is impossible to reach the operator’s line, and they have not received any notifications from Megafon due to the lack of Internet. Some users publish screenshots of the response from the Megafon application support service, in which the operator asks them to ask about the lack of Internet later. In response to a request from Kommersant, Megafon replied that it was working to fix the problems, without specifying what the cause was. TASS, citing the press service, reported that subscribers’ access to the network has been partially restored.
