A novel about an American pilot who participated in the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, Revenge of the Storms by Sébastien Spitzer, was awarded by the festival Les écrivains chez Gonzague Saint Bris, announced the jury on Wednesday August 24th.
This novel published by Albin Michel receives the back-to-school prize, awarded to the author during this festival on Sunday August 28 in Chanceaux-près-Loches (Indre-et-Loire). Formerly called La Forêt des livres, and founded by the writer Gonzague Saint Bris, who died in 2017, this festival is held in Touraine on its 26e editing.

Laura Poggioli wins the first novel prize for Three sisters (L’Iconoclaste), which tells the true story of three young parricidal Russians, and Clara Benador the revelation prize for The Little Lovers (Gallimard), which recounts a friendship in Casablanca during the Second World War.
