One of the most titled actors of our time, film director and producer Sean Penn again came to Kyiv to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This time, the Hollywood actor left the Ukrainian leader an Oscar statuette.
“Sean brought us his Oscar figurine, which should become a symbol of our faith in victory. It will be in Ukraine until the end of hostilities,” Zelensky said.
This is not the first time the American actor has visited the Ukrainian capital: three of his visits to Kyiv and two meetings with Zelensky were reported. This time, Zelensky awarded him the Order of Merit of the third degree, thanking him for his support and “popularization of Ukraine in the world.” It is also reported that a sign with the name of Sean Penn appeared on the “Avenue of Courage” in Kyiv, where in August a sign with the name of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was unveiled.
