The letters contain information about the Warburg scandal, which could make Scholz’s testimony false. During the policy’s tenure as mayor of Hamburg, an investigation into the tax payment case was organized against the bank.
Scholz is suspected of holding several meetings and providing support to the chairman of the bank’s supervisory board, Christian Olearius. The politician, in turn, admitted with reference to his calendar that the meeting really took place, but he does not remember its content.
At the same time, the letters found on the Web claim the opposite. They say that the meeting was unplanned, which contradicts Scholz’s words.
