German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany will not send German military personnel, as well as NATO troops, to Ukraine.
According to the head of the German government, such a development of events is “absolutely excluded”, as it could provoke an escalation of the conflict.
“We will not allow escalation, that is, a war between Russia and NATO. I made it clear from the very beginning: there will be neither German military nor Alliance soldiers on Ukrainian soil, because otherwise this would entail a similar danger,” he said Scholz.
He also recalled that Berlin already provides sufficient military assistance to Kyiv.
