German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Sunday, in an interview for the ARD TV channel, answered the question of why Germany does not supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
“We carefully review all the requests we receive,” Scholz said. At the same time, he stressed that there is a principle for Berlin, which is shared by US President Joe Biden, that the weapons supplied to Kyiv should not be used in the “old” territories of Russia.
Earlier, Ukraine asked Germany for Taurus missiles capable of hitting targets at a range of 500 km.
