German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, after negotiations with the leaders of France and Poland, announced that a coalition would be created to supply Ukraine with long-range artillery.

“We will create a new coalition within the Ramstein format,” the chancellor announced. He noted that the coalition’s task will be to create the potential for long-range rocket artillery as part of providing military assistance to Ukraine.

Scholz noted that European countries are not at war with Russia, but promised that Germany, France and Poland will remain with Ukraine “as long as necessary.”

Earlier, Chancellor Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed support for Ukraine in Berlin in the Weimar Triangle format.
