Scheduled exercises on combat readiness of troops began in Belarus

In Belarus, planned measures have begun to maintain the combat and mobilization readiness of the country’s troops at the required level, reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

“The main goals are to maintain combat and mobilization readiness at the required level, increase the coherence of military command and control bodies, improve the practical skills of commanders and train personnel to act in various conditions,” they explained.

The events are a complex of consecutive trainings with all categories of servicemen, subdivisions, and military units and are carried out in accordance with the training plan for their intended purpose after the next call-up and mastering the initial military training program by new recruits, the Defense Ministry added.

In October, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the increased threats that come from Western countries against the republic. According to him, if necessary, Poland can pull troops to the Belarusian border in a few hours. Also, Lukashenka claims, Kyiv is working on opening a second front on the border with the republic. In this regard, Russia and Belarus agreed to deploy a joint regional group of troops. Lukashenka instructed to deploy a small part of the Russian military in the territory of the republic.
