Sberbank launches acquiring and field customer service in Crimea

Sberbank has launched on-site servicing of corporate clients in the Crimea and Sevastopol, and also launched a service for accepting cards for payment in stores in the region, the press service of the financial institution reported.
According to the bank’s specialists, a service for accepting cards and QR codes for payment has appeared in the outlets of Crimea and Sevastopol. Prior to the opening of offices on the peninsula, the organization’s client managers will themselves travel to corporate clients for service. “New customers will be able to withdraw and deposit cash from their bank card and account through ATMs that are already operating on the peninsula. The product line of services will expand as the offices open,” the press service said.
The first branches of the bank are planned to open in the coming months.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin called in March 2022 for big businesses and banks to start working in Crimea without fear of foreign sanctions. Promsvyazbank was the first Russian bank to enter the peninsula. Sberbank announced its entry into the Crimean market in January this year.
