Krasavia and UZGA signed an agreement on the supply of 20 Ladoga aircraft

Krasavia Airlines and the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) have agreed to supply 20 Ladoga aircraft to the Krasnoyarsk Territory. An agreement on this was signed at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF), transmits press service of the government of the region.
It is noted that Krasavia will become one of the first Russian airlines to receive new Ladoga aircraft. Delivery is scheduled for the period from 2026 to 2030.
Earlier, Vedomosti, citing a representative of the Ministry of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk Territory wrote about the plans of Krasavia and UZGA to conclude an agreement on KEF. The representative of the UZGA added that the enterprise would take an active part in the creation of the CPPO, a warehouse of spare parts and in the training of personnel.
The press service explained that first Krasavia and UZGA will test the aircraft in real geographical and climatic conditions of Siberia and the Arctic zone. In the future, the airline plans to acquire aircraft under a financial leasing scheme.
“Ladoga” will replace the obsolete An-24, produced in the 1970-80s. Andrey Egorov, General Director of KrasAvia, noted that Ladoga aircraft today are the only alternative for a regional airliner.
The next step will be the signing of a preliminary supply agreement in 2024, the press service of the region clarifies. The agreement will define the terms of the transaction, including after-sales service, personnel training, detailed technical appearance of the aircraft, etc.
