GAZ Group plans to produce up to 300 electric buses per year

The GAZ transport company plans to produce from 250 to 300 new electric buses, Nikolay Odintsov, vice president for corporate sales development, said at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF).
“From this year, the program of urban electric ground transport will begin to operate – already this year we will reach a 10% volume in the total production of buses for public transport. The plans are 250-300 cars with an electric drive,” said Odintsov (quoted by TASS).
The vice president added that in addition to Moscow, electric buses will be delivered to St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Krasnoyarsk and Krasnodar. The company plans to expand deliveries to 11 Russian cities.
“GAZ Group» began mass production of electric vehicles in 2018. Then the first electric buses began to run on public routes in Moscow – in 2022, Mosgortrans had more than 1,000 such vehicles. In particular, the group already produces electric buses for St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Tyumen, etc.
The Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum takes place from 1 to 3 March. It is attended by representatives of 24 subjects of Russia, 11 foreign states, as well as 16 international organizations. The theme of the forum is the development of Siberia, taking into account the current economic and geopolitical situation.
Within the forum were signed contracts between the Krasavia airline and the Ural Civil Aviation Plant for the supply of 20 aircraft, as well as a number of new agreements between Sberbank and five Siberian companies.
