Sber criticized Russian Post’s proposal for an infrastructure fee

The initiative of Russian Post to collect 0.5% of turnover from Internet companies in favor of unprofitable post offices has a new opponent – Sber. The bank considers such initiatives “unacceptable and forming a practice that is vicious for a market economy,” notes Sberbank in a letter sent to the ANO Digital Economy. Vedomosti reviewed a copy of the letter, its receipt was confirmed by a representative of Digital Economy.
“The ANO constantly collects the opinions of the founders of industry players on certain initiatives,” a representative of Digital Economy told Vedomosti. He added that the founders of the ANO include both the largest Internet companies and Russian Post. “Digital Economy” takes part in building a dialogue among all interested parties,” summarized the ANO representative.
