On the anniversary of the start of armed clashes on the Dniester, President of Moldova Maia Sandu took part in laying flowers at the monument to the Grieving Mother in memory of those killed in the Transnistrian conflict.
Sandu expressed the view that negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the EU are a unique chance to unite the two banks of the Dniester.
The peaceful reunification of Chisinau and Tiraspol will unite residents around a project that “will lead to a prosperous future,” Sandu said.
