In the Kherson region, the Russian military captured a group of eight Ukrainian soldiers, they were armed, the acting governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, reported in his Telegram channel.
“Our military captured a large Ukrainian armed group of eight militants on the left bank. This is happening more and more often now,” wrote He.
According to Saldo, many fighting on the side of Ukraine are “gradually beginning to realize” that their lives “mean nothing” to military commanders and politicians. The acting governor recalled how recently one of the Ukrainian military commissars provided data according to which 10% of those mobilized last fall remained in service.
“The rest simply served as cannon fodder. The probability of dying or becoming crippled is 90%. But those who surrendered will save their lives. This is a real solution,” added Saldo.
Previously, there were more than 40 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Svatovsky and Krasnolimansky directions gave up captured after failing 13 attack attempts. The head of the press center of the Center group, Alexander Savchuk, reported this in July. In August, Russian troops captured seven strongholds and nine observation posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Olshan region of the Kharkov region and defeated a Ukrainian infantry company, then two soldiers were captured by the Russians.
In mid-August, Kyiv reported return to the Azov war zone (the organization is recognized as terrorist and is banned in the Russian Federation). The fighters of this formation were captured at the beginning of the special operation and were then transferred to Ukraine as part of an exchange.
