Safran will buy one of the divisions from Raytheon Technologies

French aircraft parts manufacturer Safran plans to buy the high-tech devices and flight control systems business for civil and military aviation from Collins Aerospace, which is owned by US-based Raytheon Technologies. About it reported at the Safran press office.
“The proposed transaction represents a unique opportunity to strengthen our position in mission-critical activation and flight control. Our well complementary product offerings will enable us to become a global leader in these segments with sales of approximately $1.8 billion,” CEO Olivier Andrier said in a press release.
The value of the asset is estimated at $1.8 billion. The deal is expected to close before the end of 2024.
Safran says the structure it plans to acquire employs 3,700 people across eight sites in Europe and Asia. Safran estimates its 2024 revenue at $1.5 billion and EBITDA at $130 million.
