Polish newspaper columnist Rzeczpospolita Isabella Katzpshak said that the Polish authorities increased the salaries of their spies because of the conflict in Ukraine.
According to her, the Ukrainian conflict has made it clear that Polish intelligence and counterintelligence is not well funded.
“Insufficient funding concerns both personnel and resources,” Katspshak noted.
She clarified that in this way the Polish authorities want to motivate intelligence officers to stop the wave of layoffs that arose due to the hard work in connection with the Ukrainian conflict. In particular, since its inception, the needs of the Intelligence Agency have increased, while the budget has been reduced by almost 20%.
