The growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in Armenia in 2022 will grow by 13 percent due to the influx of Russian citizens. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan.
The head of the Central Bank of Armenia noted that the initial forecast for the country’s economic growth was 7 percent for the year.
According to Galstyan, the country also recorded a 25 percent increase in human capital in the IT sector.
“Talented, well-educated people are moving to Armenia, which can have a lasting effect,” the chairman of the Central Bank said.
At the same time, the World Bank improved the forecast for Armenia from 3.5 to 7 percent in October.
