South Korea has stopped letting Russians who arrived on yachts into the country. It is reported by Reuters.
According to the agency, two dozen Russian citizens sailed from Russian ports to South Korea, but most of them were denied entry. Only two Russians managed to cross the border.
The border guards motivated their refusal by the “unclear” purpose of the visit. It is noted that on one of the yachts that left Vladivostok, there were five men. They were denied entry, but they were helped with provisions.
Three other yachts were also seen in Pzozan, one of which was carrying nine men.
The Ministry of Justice of South Korea reported that they did not have data on the ban on the entry of Russians on yachts.
At the same time, as a rule, citizens of the Russian Federation can enter this country without a visa if they previously received permission through South Korea’s electronic travel authorization system.
