Russians received tax deductions in the amount of 2.7 trillion rubles in 2022

Property tax deductions associated with the purchase of a home have traditionally become the most popular. Last year, 4.3 million taxpayers took advantage of this type of benefit. The total amount of granted property deductions amounted to almost 2 trillion rubles. A year earlier, 4 million people declared deductions under this program in the amount of 1.7 trillion rubles.

In second place were social deductions. They include social deductions for the amounts transferred to taxpayers in the form of donations, for treatment and the purchase of medicines, their own education, as well as full-time education of children, brothers and sisters up to 24 years old. This also includes compensation for the amounts of contributions under voluntary insurance agreements, contributions under NGO, DPS and DSZh agreements, as well as for passing an independent assessment for compliance with qualification requirements. In 2022, 3.4 million people received tax deductions in the amount of 206 billion rubles, a year earlier, 2.6 million citizens in total received deductions in the amount of 139 billion rubles.
