Russians who are abroad during the presidential elections in the Russian Federation will not be able to vote electronically. This was announced on Thursday, December 7, by the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, at a meeting of the Federation Council.
“Electronic voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation will not be used abroad. This is very risky,” Pamfilova said, addressing members of the Federation Council.
Let us remind you that the upper house of parliament approved the date for the election of the head of state – March 17, 2024. On Friday, December 8, the CEC will consider the possibility of holding three-day voting – March 15, 16 and 17. Pamfilova noted that this election format is a request from Russian citizens.
