The Russian Armed Forces stopped Kyiv’s attempts to strengthen forward positions in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction
The head of the press center of the Vostok group of forces, Alexander Gordeev, said that in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction, the Russian military stopped an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to rotate its contingent and strengthen forward positions.
He clarified that at the moment, units of the Vostok group of troops in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction continue to carry out combat missions.
“The Russian military has improved the situation along the front line and stopped the enemy’s attempts to strengthen forward positions and rotation in the areas of Staromayorsky, Sladkoye, Nikolsky, Konstantinovka and Vodyanoye,” Gordeev noted.
According to him, Russian artillery, aviation and heavy flamethrower systems hit areas where equipment and manpower accumulated, as well as strongholds of the 58th mechanized brigade, 102nd, 105th, 108th and 128th military defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Staromayorsky, Novoukrainka, Urozhayny and Makarovka.
