“Russian time” conquer space – News – Style – Kommersant

Russian Time watches together with Soyuz MS-21 cosmonauts visited the International Space Station (ISS) and were repeatedly used by the crew during spacewalks. Suffice it to say that the crew commander’s chronograph spent more than 31 hours in outer space, invariably accompanying Oleg Artemyev in all his five exits outside the ISS.

It is interesting that the commander of the space expedition, having visited the Russian Time company at the end of last year, personally chose for himself and two other crew members the Shturm 10145331 quartz chronograph in a blackened steel case with a diameter of 44.3 mm, waterproof to 100 m. The watch has a sapphire crystal, luminescent hands and hour markers, as well as a date display, a 24-hour day/night indicator and a tachymeter scale. As standard, they are equipped with a rubber strap, and the only change in the design was made by the cosmonaut himself: in order to put the watch on top of the bulky sleeve of the spacesuit, Oleg Artemiev “transplanted” it to an elastic band.

After the crew safely returned to Earth, one of the Sturm specimens, which had been in space, was handed over to the General Director of Russian Time, Vladlen Nevzorov, for eternal storage in the museum of the manufacturing company.

Currently, Russian Time watches with individual symbols – the emblem of the expedition and the Soyuz spacecraft – are once again conquering space: they are worn by the crew members of the Soyuz MS-22 stationed on the ISS.
