In one of the sea ranges of the Black Sea, the crew of the Stary Oskol diesel-electric submarine conducted conditional missile launches, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet reported.

“In the Black Sea, submariners worked out an algorithm of actions when launching a missile attack on enemy surface ships in cooperation with ground-based means of illuminating the surface situation. Rocket firing was carried out conditionally, by means of an electronic launch, ”the office said (quote by Interfax).

The crew of the boat at the next stage of testing will work out “actions to evade the impact” of anti-submarine aircraft and surface ships, the representative office concluded.

April 14, the Pacific Fleet in full force was raised on alert and proceeded to bring to the highest degree of combat readiness as part of a surprise inspection. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called the main goal of the test to build up the ability of the Armed Forces (AF) of the country to solve the problem of repelling the aggression of a potential enemy from the ocean and sea areas.

Then in the Kremlin called surprise checks in the Pacific Fleet as a common practice. At the same time, Peskov noted that it is not connected with NATO’s plans to increase its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

In total, three stages are planned, the last of which began on April 18. During the final stage, shipborne strike groups, together with coastal missile divisions, will work out the tasks of delivering missile strikes with electronic launches.
