“It can be stated that in Russia the development of fifth-generation air-to-air missiles, which have reached the industrial stage of production, is five to ten years ahead of similar developments in the United States,” the article says.
According to the developers, now the missiles are already beginning to be adopted. They will be placed in the inner fuselage compartments of the Su-57 fighter.
As Viktor Murakhovsky, editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland, said, the RVV-MD2 uses a control system that allows you to control the missile in autonomous flight. The missiles are also equipped with a radio correction line, which allows you to specify the coordinates of the target. Mr. Murakhovsky added that the missile is capable of hitting targets from all angles, including in the rear hemisphere.
