Russian Su-27 escorted a German Navy aircraft over the Baltic Sea

A Russian Su-27 fighter escorted the German Orion reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea after trying to approach the country’s border, transmits press service of the Ministry of Defense in the Telegram channel.
“The crew of the Russian fighter jet identified the air target as the R-3C Orion base patrol aircraft of the German Navy and escorted it over the Baltic Sea. After the foreign military aircraft turned away from the State Border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter returned to its base airfield,” the statement said.
The press service also noted that no violation of the state border of Russia was allowed.
In December 2022, a Russian MiG-31 VKS fighter escorted the R-3C Orion aircraft of the Norwegian Air Force approaching the border over the Barents Sea. The Ministry of Defense then noted that no violation of the country’s border was allowed, and the flight of the Russian fighter was carried out in strict accordance with international rules.
On August 15 of the same year, the defense department reported that a British reconnaissance aircraft violated the air border of Russia in the area of Cape Svyatoy Nos, which is located on the eastern coast of the Kola Peninsula.
