A three-day voting period for the presidential election has started in Russia. All new regions are opening their polling stations for Russians who want to be among the first to make their choice.

Thus, 1,900 voting stations equipped with video surveillance systems and video recorders have opened in the Irkutsk region, where 1.8 million voters will have to make their choice.

More than 800 polling stations have started operating in the Republic of Buryatia, and about 700 thousand voters will vote here.
