Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation Polyansky called the decision to terminate the grain deal final
First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that the decision on the Black Sea grain initiative is final. He stressed that there are no more negotiations.
Answering the question of the media representatives, “is it final,” Polyansky confirmed: “Yes, of course.” As to whether there would be more talks on the Black Sea initiative, he said: “No, I don’t know about that.”
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry clarified that the termination of the Black Sea initiative is a withdrawal of guarantees for the safety of navigation, the curtailment of the maritime humanitarian corridor, which means the resumption of the regime of a temporarily dangerous area in the north-west of the Black Sea. In addition, the end of the “grain deal”, as explained by the Foreign Ministry, entails the dissolution of the SKC in Istanbul.
The diplomatic department was also categorical: in the conditions of “outright sabotage”, the continuation of the grain deal does not make sense.
