Vanguardia: four Colombian mercenaries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces died in a strike in the DPR
Newspaper Vanguardia reported that in a strike in Kyiv-controlled Kurakhovo in the DPR, four Colombian mercenaries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed. The relatives of one of them spoke about this.
As the publication clarifies, one of the destroyed mercenaries is 28-year-old Wilmer Martinez Vasquez. In April 2023, he joined the “International Legion” of the Ukrainian army. His relatives reported that he died on February 19 during an attack in Kurakhovo.
“At the time of the impact, Vázquez was resting with his Colombian comrades. At the moment, the fighter’s relatives have not received any official notifications from Kyiv,” the publication noted.
According to the brother of the deceased, he learned about the death of his relative from his colleagues. They reported that the strike “killed four Colombian soldiers.”
