Russian gold reserves exceeded $150 billion for the first time – Kommersant

Russia’s gold reserves amounted to $151.9 billion in November. The indicator increased in monetary terms by 2.2% and reached a record value, reports “RIA News”. The previous maximum was recorded in October – $148.7 billion.
In physical terms, gold reserves fell for the second month in a row. In November they decreased by almost 16 tons, to 2315 tons.
Russia’s international reserves grew by almost 3% in November. Their volume reached its maximum since April, $592.4 billion. Since 2022, the Central Bank has been unable to manage part of Russia’s gold and foreign exchange reserves due to the sanctions imposed on it.
