British oil and gas company BP has deprived former CEO Bernard Looney of payments worth £32.4 million (about $41 million). He resigned in September for failing to disclose details of his past personal relationships with colleagues.

“Mr Looney deliberately misled the council. The Board regarded this as serious misconduct,” BP said in a statement (quoted from Associated Press).

£32.4m includes salary, pension, bonuses and shares. Some payments already made, including 50% of the FY 2022 bonus cash, must be returned. Mr Looney worked at BP for 32 years, the last three as chief executive.
