“Servicemen undergoing military service on conscription will not be sent to the points of deployment of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in new regions of the Russian Federation: Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, or to participate there in carrying out the tasks of a special military operation,” he said. .
Tsimlyansky emphasized that during the autumn campaign, conscripts will serve at permanent deployment points of formations and military units of the Russian Armed Forces and other military formations on Russian territory.
In 2023, the autumn conscription starts on October 1 in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including in new regions, Tsimlyansky clarified. In certain areas of the Far North, the campaign will begin on November 1. The call will last until December 31. The General Staff added that it is planned to send conscripts from assembly points from October 16. The duration of military service will be one year.
In 2022, the autumn conscription began a month later – on November 1. The reason was the partial mobilization in Russia, which took place from September 21 to October 31, 2022. As a result of the conscription campaign from November to December 2022, 120,000 people entered service.
