Russian Foreign Ministry: NATO activity requires strengthening the security of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The North Atlantic Alliance is demonstrating increasing activity in the Black Sea region. This was announced on Wednesday, December 6, by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Ministry stated that such behavior on the part of NATO requires taking measures to further strengthen the security of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
In September it was noted that since the beginning of 2023, the United States of America and its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance have tripled the number reconnaissance flights over the Black Sea in the Crimea region. Previously, they made seven flights a week, over the past year – 21 flights.
State Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet expressed the opinion that reconnaissance planes and NATO drones over the Black Sea must be destroyed by Russian fighters as military targets because they are “coordinating an attack on Russia.”
